# Identification of cookies

We recommend using [Cookieviz](https://linc.cnil.fr/cookieviz-23-une-nouvelle-version-plus-securisee-plus-stable-et-une-mise-en-avant-du-role-des), the tool developed and used by the CNIL. It will identify potentially problematic cookies.

For each tag, you will then need to:

* Study the potential presence of non-exempt trackers (cookies, IndexedDB, local storage, etc.) (ePrivacy Directive).
* Evaluate the processing of personal data and, if applicable, the purposes pursued by your partners and their respective legal bases (GDPR).
* Determine if the tag/beacon is automatically handled by your partners via the CMP APIs (example: Google’s and Microsoft Bing’s "Consent Mode").

Otherwise, you can contact Sirdata to conduct a [compliance](https://cmp.docs.sirdata.net/en/cmp-services/compliance-audit) audit and an [inventory](https://cmp.docs.sirdata.net/en/cmp-services/inventory-partners) of the cookies dropped on your site ([contact us](https://sirdata.com/en/Contact)).
