Do I need consent to deploy a Captcha?

In most cases: yes.

When the solution's sole and unique purpose is to secure a form for the benefit of the user (for example), consent is not mandatory.

On the other hand, if the data is or can be also exploited by the solution provider or by the form publisher for any other purpose, consent is required.
