# Google Analytics Conditioning

Google Analytics cookies are not [exempt](https://www.cnil.fr/fr/cookies-et-autres-traceurs/regles/cookies-solutions-pour-les-outils-de-mesure-daudience). Consent is therefore necessary.

If you have conditioned the GA call or if you have activated Google Consent Mode (Google Analytics extension in the CMP's advanced settings), cookies will be blocked automatically until the user has given their consent.

Be aware that once this configuration is completed, it is normal to observe a loss of statistics because the audience that has not given consent cannot be tracked.

If you wish to combine compliance and performance, you can use the [Sirdata Analytics Helper](https://www.sirdata.com/en/Analytics-Helper). It allows for both blocking cookies without consent and maintaining statistics through cookieless technology.
